GateWalk Central is a 17.5-hectare mixed-use development by Ayala Land located in Subangdaku, Mandaue City, Cebu. Envisioned as a walkable “15-minute city,” the estate integrates offices, residential towers, retail, leisure spaces, and a next-generation Ayala Mall scheduled to open in late 2026. The development will feature over 350 merchants, food halls, entertainment hubs, and a 1-hectare landscaped Greenway designed to promote sustainability and community living.
As a large-scale, master-planned estate with high occupancy and continuous activity, GateWalk Central required a robust and future-ready underground electrical distribution network to support long-term growth. Ensuring reliable medium voltage power supply across the estate was critical to meeting operational demands and complying with the stringent standards of Visayan Electric Company (VECO).
While many were wrapping up the year with holiday celebrations, our hardworking and dedicated team successfully completed our final delivery for 2017, just three days before Christmas. Engineers from Makati Development Corporation (MDC) and their electrical subcontractor were onsite to witness the unloading and delivery of 20.5 kilometres of high-quality 18/30kV medium voltage power cables for the estate’s underground electrical distribution network.
These cables have since been fully tested and approved by Visayan Electric Company (VECO), meeting their stringent performance and compliance standards. We extend our sincere appreciation to our valued clients for their continued trust and partnership, allowing us to supply these mission-critical components for one of Cebu’s landmark developments.
