We proudly supported the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) in delivering critical cable infrastructure for the Perth metropolitan rail network. As one of the city's most essential public assets, the rail network plays a vital role in linking key metropolitan lines, increasing passenger capacity, and supporting the growing demand for efficient, reliable public transport across the Greater Perth region.

The project demanded robust, specialised cable solutions meeting the PTA's stringent safety and performance standards — ensuring long-term reliability, passenger safety, and uninterrupted rail operations across the network.

Our Impact

Partnering with railway contractor UGL, we supplied and supported the delivery of a comprehensive range of mission-critical cable solutions engineered specifically for the demands of railway environments. Our delivery included:

• Flame-retardant Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) Type 504M railway signalling cables — purpose-engineered for tunnel environments to minimise smoke and toxic emissions while maintaining circuit integrity in the event of a fire
• Flame-retardant Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) Type 506M power and control cables — designed for critical fire performance in enclosed rail environments
• Low-voltage cables to support reliable power distribution across the network

Together, these high-performance cable solutions contribute to safer railway operations, improved system reliability, and increased transport capacity — supporting more efficient and connected mobility across the Greater Perth region.
