Project Overview

We partnered with JUWI Energy (EPC) for the completion of the 60 MW Solar Farm in Toledo, Cebu, the largest renewable energy facility in the province. Commissioned around 2017, this landmark project uses over 193,000 solar modules to generate enough electricity to power more than 48,000 households.

As one of the region’s largest solar farms, it plays a pivotal role in sustainable energy generation, producing approximately 83,846 MWh annually while reducing carbon emissions and displacing over 157,000 barrels of crude oil equivalent each year.

The scale and complexity of the facility required robust medium-voltage cabling solutions and components to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted power transmission from the solar arrays to the grid, while meeting the highest performance and safety standards.

Our Impact

The CCI team delivered urgent electrical bulk materials for the completion of a 60MW solar power plant in Toledo, Cebu. With tight deadlines, we coordinated the overnight airfreight of 25kV-rated elbow connectors, HV termination kits, and bi-metallic connectors from multiple overseas stocking warehouses. Leveraging our direct access to manufacturers and distribution centres across the Asia-Pacific region, we secured and arranged immediate delivery to keep the project on track.

We supplied a comprehensive range of critical medium-voltage components, including separable elbow connectors, MV terminations, RMU splicing kits, bi-metallic terminal lugs, and copper compression lugs. These solutions ensured secure, high-quality connections across the solar farm’s electrical network, supporting reliable power flow and minimising operational risk.

With our cable expertise, we helped our client complete a resilient and efficient solar facility that now powers tens of thousands of households while contributing to Cebu’s growing renewable energy capacity and the Philippines’ sustainability goals.
