Project Overview

The Macedon Gas Project is an offshore gas field and onshore treatment facility located near Onslow, Western Australia, commissioned in 2013 and operated by Woodside Energy. The project supplies domestic gas to Western Australia via four subsea wells, a 67-kilometre pipeline, and an onshore treatment plant near Ashburton North.

Designed for a 20-year operating life, the plant has a processing capacity of 500 TJ/day, with sales gas transported into the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline. Developed at a cost of approximately $1.5 billion, the Macedon Gas Project was executed in partnership with EPC contractor Technip, who managed engineering, procurement, and construction of the onshore facilities. Remote operations, supported by vessels and ROVs, ensure continuous and safe gas production from the offshore field.

Our Impact

Our expert team supplied a comprehensive range of critical cable solutions for the Macedon Gas Project, including control cables, instrumentation and data cables, LSZH XLPE cables, and LSZH VFD cables. These systems were engineered to meet stringent fire, safety, and performance standards in a high-risk industrial environment.

Our robust cable solutions support reliable power distribution, precise process control, and secure data transmission throughout the onshore gas treatment plant. By delivering durable, high-performance cables, we reinforced the safe, continuous, and efficient operation of this essential domestic gas supply project in Western Australia.
